Want to Take your Company/hire Vehicle Abroad

If you wish to take your vehicle abroad for 1 day (minimum) up to 12 months (maximum)you will need the Registration Document for your vehicle. As alot of leasing companys don't like to send out the original they will send you a Travel Abroad document called a V103 (sometimes for a small admin charge)as an alternative. This will show details of your Hire/Company car such as Make, Model, Chassis number, registration number and driver details. f you DO have breakdown cover within your contract/agreement you will need to ensure that any servicing requirements are undertaken in the UK. It would also be advisable to familiarise yourself with the Emergency Service information before your trip. You will also need to check your insurance certificate before your journey to ensure that you do not require a Green Card for the country that you are visiting. If you are not sure then please contact your insurance company who will advise you accordingly. If you wish, you can also add other named drivers to the insurance for the duration of your trip. If you DO NOT have breakdown cover within your contract/agreement it is advised that you should familiarise yourself with the Emergency Service information before your trip, and ensure that any outstanding servicing requirements are undertaken in the UK before you go.You will also need to check the terms of the manufacturers breakdown cover as if this does not include European Travel or has expired, you will need to obtain emergency motoring cover(at your own expense)before you travel. This will cover the repatriation of the vehicle in case of mechanical breakdown, accident damage or illness of the driver.You will also need to check your insurance certificate before your journey to ensure that you do not require a Green Card for the country that you are visiting.
